Marie Claire is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter with a broad range of musical influences. Originally trained as a classical pianist, Marie Claire has a rare ability to weave musical influences as eclectic and diverse as the Baroque, Classical, Romantic to the Modern and Popular.
She has for the past two years been pursuing a musical pathway, which has taken her on an interesting journey so far.
When Marie Claire is not directly channelling her energies into her own musical endeavours, she directs her efforts in the pursuit of world peace. This has recently seen her collaborate with the SGI Choir and Howard Jones in recording a CD and DVD dedicated to Kosen rufu, or world peace in Buddhist philosophy.
Marie Claire is a live musician, performer and vocalist covering all areas in London for corporate occasions, weddings, hotels and all venues however intimate or large.
At the moment Marie Claire can be seen performing original music and covers at special showcases in venues around London. She makes shows of her own original material special and unique occasions, and rarely if ever repeats herself. That is why her eagerly anticipated gigs, if relatively few and far between are always fresh, impactful and vibrant affairs when they take place. This is someone whose haunting musical musings demand your immediate attention, making us appreciate that music such as this is not born of idle inner experience. Her repetoire is constantly expanding.
Marie Claire is currently working on a body of her own original
material as part of a long term musical oeuvre;
Her professional services have also been contracted to write and compose for a musical narrative that will be global in reach.
Live experience also includes working with a French singer, gaining work in hotels and has also worked at renowned French venues Le Meridien and Le Pigalle clubs in Piccadilly Circus, occasionally employing the skills of a Romanian accordionist.
For this latter project Marie Claire's roots and facility with the French language (she speaks / understands five languages) greatly aided her interpretation of the Chanson Franchise. She also performed as Leeds castle resident pianist for 3 years.
